Lighthouse Christian Academy Seahawks Capture Championship in Historic DebutThe Lighthouse Christian Academy Boys Soccer Program could not have asked for a better start to its inaugural season.Competing in their first-ever tournament appearance, the Seahawks traveled to Hampshire High School for the FNB Pre-Season Tournament and made an immediate statement by posting a perfect 4-0 record to claim the tournament championship.LCA opened tournament play with a dominant 4-0 victory over Berkeley Springs before defeating host Hampshire 3-0. The Seahawks continued their impressive run with a 2-0 win over Southern and capped off the championship weekend by defeating Hampshire 5-0 in the final match of the day.The Seahawks’ success was fueled by outstanding team play and several individual honors. Sammy Scritchfield was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, while Peyton Poland earned Goalkeeper of the Tournament honors after helping lead a defensive effort that did not allow a single goal throughout the event. Elijah Ziler and Silas Leith were both selected to the All-Tournament Team for their exceptional performances.Perhaps most impressive was the team’s dominance throughout the tournament. The Seahawks outscored their opponents 14-0 while posting four consecutive shutouts, showcasing both an explosive offense and a disciplined defense.The championship marks a historic beginning for Lighthouse Christian Academy soccer and provides a strong foundation for the future.
